Partnership
What other churches call “church membership,” we call “church partnership.”
When you think of a member, you think of a transactional relationship or someone entitled to exclusive privileges or perks. Our church is a collaborative effort, and we encourage each other to help shoulder the load. We are building a community and need partners in this mission.
Partnership is a commitment. It’s a promise to the rest of the group that you can be counted on; that you will be reliable; that the church can make future plans because you aren’t just shopping but committing. You can discontinue your partnership whenever you want, but partnership assures to other people that you are someone to lean on and look out for.
Becoming a church partner also means that you can get even more involved in the church. Partners can join the worship band or take on a leadership position like helping lead the Kids Ministry.
If you are interested in becoming a church partner, we invite you to come to experience our pre-partner sessions, “Discover Remedy City.” You’ll attend three 75-minute sessions where you’ll learn about our mission, vision, and values. It is your chance to make sure we are all on the same page, so feel free to ask any questions you may have about our church.
After these sessions, you’ll meet with our pastor for a “partnership interview.” During this interview, you will discuss your explanation of the gospel and your personal journey to becoming a Christian. Don’t worry—there’s no pressure to sound smart or theologically impressive. Think of it as a way for the pastor to get to know you better.
